The MyPillow Guy Has Company: RVCA Co-Founder Conan Hayes an ‘Expert Witness’ in Electoral Fraud Case
Former President Donald J. Trump has launched or backed dozens of lawsuits challenging the results of the 2020 election, which he lost to President Joe Biden, despite there being almost no evidence of fraud and several independent assessments holding that the election was the most secure in American history.
In what has been referred to as ‘the Big Lie,’ Trump has cast doubt on the validity of the many mail-in ballots that put Joe Biden over the top in states like Arizona, Georgia, and Michigan. However, the former president and his allies have lost all of their cases thus far, with many of the cases tossed out before even being heard. Most of the lawsuits were frivolous.
However, nearly half of Republicans believe the lie that the 2020 election was stolen, which has done incredible damage to faith in our electoral system and democratic institutions. One of the loudest believers is the CEO of MyPillow, Mike Lindell. Lindell has been widely mocked for appearing on any television show that will have him and claiming that Donald Trump legitimately won the election and will be reinstated to the presidency.
And now Lindell has a buddy. It was recently revealed that California clothier RVCA co-founder Conan Hayes, a former surfer, has been listed as an expert witness in one of the electoral fraud cases in Michigan, and was expected to “testify as to application security, systems, process, generally accepted programming practices, standards of care, as it relates to application development of sensitive systems.”
Hayes, of course, has zero experience in elections or electoral law. What he did have, though, were illegal pictures of Michigan voter rolls, as well as data that may have been illegally obtained in Maricopa County, Arizona, where Hayes worked as a subcontractor and where there is an incredibly high-profile (and unnecessary) election audit going on, sponsored by the Republican Party.
Rest assured: Conan Hayes is not the type of expert witness that we look to hire here at Orion Expert Network (OEN)! We’ll find you someone competent, someone ethical, and someone who can help make your case work. Just like the 2020 election worked. Seriously.
